Crystal Cruises

Daily Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Port Everglades)

   Depart 19:00

   United States

Fort Lauderdale is South Florida's reinvented waterfront city, where three hundred miles of inland waterways, the NSU Art Museum's contemporary collection, and the tree-lined Las Olas Boulevard create a cruise departure point of genuine sophistication at Port Everglades. Arrive a day early between November and April to explore the 'Venice of America' by water taxi and discover the dining scene that has replaced Spring Break with year-round culinary ambition.

2. Day 2

   Nassau

   Bahamas

Nassau wears its layered past lightly — pirates once commanded these shores, and the elegant colonial facades along Bay Street still whisper of British rule — but today the Bahamian capital is above all a place of cerulean water and indolent pleasure. The Queen's Staircase, 65 steps hand-carved from solid limestone by enslaved labourers in the late 18th century, and the clifftop ruins of Fort Fincastle reward those who venture beyond the waterfront boutiques. Paradise Island's Harbour island, accessible by water taxi, delivers some of the Atlantic's most celebrated pink-sand beaches. Nassau is year-round in climate; November through April brings the most reliably perfect weather.

3. Day 3

   Costa Maya, Mexico

   Arrive 08:00Depart 17:00

Adventure, archaeology, water, sun and beach. These are all to be found in and around Costa Maya, the Caribbean's first port planned solely for cruise guests. Designed to resemble an ancient Mayan city, Costa Maya features three grand pavilions, where you can see folkloric shows, observe local artisans creating their works of art, and witness cultural and culinary events. Within easy reach of the port are ancient cities boasting impressive temples and fascinating archeological sites. And you needn't venture far from port to enjoy a range of water sports, including diving and snorkeling amid the world's second-largest coral reef.

4. Day 4

   Samana

   Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00

   Dominican Republic

Samaná is a lush, mountainous peninsula on the Dominican Republic's northeast coast, famous as one of the North Atlantic's premier humpback whale breeding grounds from January through March. Must-dos include whale-watching in Samaná Bay, horseback riding to El Limón waterfall, and exploring Los Haitises National Park's caves and karst formations. December through April offers the driest weather and peak whale season.

5. Day 5

   San Juan, Puerto Rico

   Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00

   Puerto Rico

San Juan, Puerto Rico's radiant colonial capital, is one of the Americas' most compellingly layered cities — a place where the sixteenth-century fortresses of El Morro and San Cristóbal stand sentinel over streets of painted townhouses and flowering balconies. The cobblestoned lanes of Old San Juan pulse with world-class rum bars, ceviche stands, and rooftop restaurants serving the island's vibrant cocina criolla. La Fortaleza, the oldest executive mansion in the Western Hemisphere still in use, anchors the historic district. Florecer, the district's famed bioluminescent bay, glows emerald after dark. January through April offers the most idyllic conditions.

6. Day 6

Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands

   Arrive 08:00Depart 17:00

   British Virgin Islands

Jost Van Dyke is a tiny, uncommercialised island in the British Virgin Islands named after a Dutch privateer, celebrated for its pristine white-sand beaches, legendary beach bars, and barefoot Caribbean culture. Visitors should not miss savouring a Painkiller cocktail at the Soggy Dollar Bar on White Bay and exploring the granite grottos of The Baths on nearby Virgin Gorda. The dry season from December through April offers the most radiant sailing conditions and calm turquoise waters, making it the ideal window for a luxury small-ship call at this intimate Caribbean gem.

7. Day 7

   At Sea

8. Day 8

   Oranjestad, Aruba

   Arrive 07:00Depart 16:00

   Aruba

Oranjestad shimmers with an unlikely elegance — Dutch colonial architecture painted in ochre, terracotta, and sky-blue lining streets just fifteen miles off the Venezuelan coast, in a perpetual trade wind that keeps the island blissfully dry and golden-skied almost every day of the year. The island's Arikok National Park preserves ancient Caquetío petroglyphs, a rugged volcanic interior, and the dramatic Natural Pool carved from black rock on the windward coast. Eagle Beach, consistently ranked among the finest beaches in the Caribbean, lies minutes from the capital. Aruba's reliably brilliant weather — average 29°C with near-zero hurricane risk — makes it genuinely year-round, though December through April is the classic season.

9. Day 9

   Cartagena, Colombia

   Arrive 19:00

   Colombia

Cartagena, Colombia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its stunning colonial architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and rich culinary scene. Must-do experiences include exploring the historic Old Town and savoring local specialties like arepas de huevo and ceviche de camarones. The best time to visit is from December to April, when the weather is warm and dry, perfect for leisurely city explorations and excursions to nearby attractions.

13. Day 13

    Kralendijk, Bonaire

    Arrive 08:00Depart 19:00

    Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba

Kralendijk, Bonaire's compact and colorful Dutch Caribbean capital, is a gateway to some of the hemisphere's most pristine coral reefs and one of the few Caribbean destinations where conservation genuinely shapes the visitor experience. Shore diving along the Bonaire National Marine Park's sixty-three marked sites and exploring the flamingo colonies of Washington Slagbaai National Park are essential pursuits. The dry season from November through April offers ideal conditions, with steady trade winds and virtually no rainfall.

14. Day 14

    Oranjestad, Aruba

    Arrive 07:00Depart 17:00

Eagle Beach, consistently ranked among the finest beaches in the Caribbean, lies minutes from the capital. Aruba's reliably brilliant weather — average 29°C with near-zero hurricane risk — makes it genuinely year-round, though December through April is the classic season.

15. Day 15

    Santa Marta

    Arrive 09:00Depart 19:00

    Colombia

Santa Marta is Colombia’s oldest city, dramatically situated between the Caribbean Sea and the world’s highest coastal mountain range, the Sierra Nevada. Must-dos include exploring Tayrona National Park’s jungle-fringed beaches, sampling ceviche samario and arepas de huevo, and visiting the pre-Columbian gold collection at the Museo del Oro Tairona. December through April brings dry weather, calm seas, and clear mountain views.

16. Day 16

    At Sea

17. Day 17

    Fuerte Amador

    Panama

Fuerte Amador is Panama City's cruise gateway on the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal, offering front-row views of the world's most important shipping lane and access to the UNESCO-listed Casco Viejo old quarter. Must-do experiences include watching ships transit the Miraflores Locks, exploring colonial plazas, and tasting ceviche at the Mercado de Mariscos. December through April's dry season offers the most pleasant weather.

20. Day 20

    Puntarenas

    Depart 19:00

    Costa Rica

Puntarenas is Costa Rica's historic Pacific port, a narrow peninsula reaching into the Gulf of Nicoya where nineteenth-century maritime heritage meets vibrant marine life, signature street food like the iconic *churchill* shaved ice, and easy access to Tortuga Island, cloud forests, and world-class whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River. The dry season from December through April offers the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas for both shore excursions and gulf crossings, making it the ideal window for cruise itineraries calling at this authentically Costa Rican gateway.

21. Day 21

    Playa Flamingo

    Arrive 07:00Depart 17:00

    Costa Rica

Playa Flamingo is one of Costa Rica's rare white-sand Pacific beaches, set in Guanacaste's sportfishing capital with access to manta ray diving at the Catalinas Islands and leatherback turtle nesting at nearby Playa Grande. Must-do experiences include diving with giant manta rays, watching leatherback turtles nest (October-March), and sunset viewing from the hillside restaurants. December through April offers the driest weather and warmest waters.

22. Day 22

    Acajutla, El Salvador

    Arrive 10:00Depart 19:00

    El Salvador

Acajutla is El Salvador's main Pacific port, gateway to one of Central America's most compact and underappreciated countries — where colonial Suchitoto, the "Pompeii of the Americas" at Joya de Ceren, and the world's best pupusas await within easy excursion distance. Must-dos include Suchitoto's cobblestone streets, the Joya de Ceren archaeological site, and tasting freshly grilled pupusas stuffed with loroco flower. Visit November through April for dry, comfortable weather.

    Mexico

Zihuatanejo is an authentic Mexican fishing village on a perfectly sheltered Pacific bay, where traditional beach palapas serve the freshest ceviche and grilled pescado a la talla alongside fishermen mending their nets. Visitors should snorkel at Playa Las Gatas, taste tiritas at a waterfront palapa, and explore the bird-rich Barra de Potosi lagoon. The dry season from November to May offers the clearest skies and calmest seas.

25. Day 25

    Manzanillo, Mexico

    Arrive 09:00Depart 19:00

    Mexico

Despite being Mexico’s biggest and busiest seaport, this sunny destination is known for its miles of golden sand beaches – by some counts there are twenty – and water sports including swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, snorkeling and diving. Manzanillo hosts the annual International Sailfish Tournament (be sure to see the 82-foot turquoise sailfish statue in town!), so not surprisingly, the deep-sea fishing here is excellent, too.

26. Day 26
