The Douro is intrinsically connected to wine. Grapes were first cultivated around 4,000 B.C and Port shipments began in 1678 when British traders blockading France sailed this ‘golden’ river to meet Portuguese vintners who stabilised red wine with brandy for the long trip to London.

The Douro’s history is more than wine; you’ll discover the significance of the Palaeolithic Vale do Côa rock paintings, witness traces of Spanish, Celtic, French and Arabic influences from across the ages, and revel in multiple World Heritage-listed sites including the living museum that is historic Porto.

The dramatic landscape of the Douro has protected a culture that has evolved since the Stone Age. Some of the ancient villages date back to Roman times whilst others are influenced by the agricultural practices of Benedictine monks.

Οι παροχές διαφέρουν για τα χερσαία ταξίδια και το χερσαίο σκέλος των ποταμόπλοιων στην Νοτιοανατολική Ασία. Επιλεγμένα γεύματα και ποτά περιλαμβάνονται. If you'd like to use a Scenic e-bike, please notify the reception staff the day before. They will organise for the bikes to be unloaded when the ship enters port. Please note that Scenic e-bikes are not available, and are not available during Portugal cruises due to cycling path restrictions along the respective rivers.

Τα φιλοδωρήματα για τους οδηγούς, τους τοπικούς ξεναγούς, τους λιμενεργάτες και το προσωπικό εξυπηρέτησης περιλαμβάνονται στην συνολική τιμή των διακοπών σας. Παρακαλούμε σημειώστε ότι τα φιλοδωρήματα δεν περιλαμβάνονται για τα γεύματα, τα ποτά, τα ταξί και τις μεταφορές εκτός του προγράμματος και ισχύουν μόνο για τις υπηρεσίες εν πλω. Συνιστούμε να αφήνετε φιλοδώρημα 10-15% στα εστιατόρια (εκτός αν έχει ήδη εφαρμοστεί χρέωση υπηρεσίας) και 10-15% στους ταξιμέτρους. Ως κανόνα, διαπραγματευτείτε πάντα εκ των προτέρων τις τιμές των ταξί πριν συμφωνήσετε για τη διαδρομή.
