From lighter five-mile bike tours to rides that stretch over 20 miles, we offer excursions for guests at any level.

Bike Tour Guides - Your guide will be sure to stop and point out highlights along the way, providing interesting facts and history, as well as much-needed water breaks! Often, there is some built-in free time for you to explore off your bike. And best of all, to ensure no guests are left behind, there is typically a guide both at the front and back of the tour group, so whatever pace you pedal, you will have peace of mind you will be taken care of and find your way back to the ship. 

Child-sized Bikes - There are a limited number of child-size bicycles available on board as well. This enables you to enjoy family-friendly active excursions in many destinations along the rivers.

Take in the sights from a unique perspective by joining one of our included hikes. Connect with nature while enjoying fresh air and lovely views as you stretch your legs on Heidelberg’s historic Philosopher’s Path. Climb to Dürnstein Fortress where Richard Lionheart was once held captive. Or hike to Mount Pipet in Vienne, France, trekking among awe-inspiring Roman ruins.

The beauty of Europe does not simply lie in its architecture and landmarks – there are also breathtaking sights when you venture out into nature. That’s why we have designed special included hikes that will take you a bit off the beaten path, showing you incredible destinations from a unique perspective and giving you a chance to revel in the fresh air. With hikes ranging anywhere from two to seven miles and varying from extended city walks to hilltop castle treks, you are sure to find a wonderful hike that suits your style.

Whether you wish to rest and recover from flights or pamper yourself before returning home, you’ll find no better respite than the trusted, 4- and 5-star hotels we have carefully selected for you. Each luxurious property is centrally located near the major sights, such as Turkey’s Istanbul at Sultanahmet, just steps from the magnificent Blue Mosque. If you should wish to extend your vacation even further, your travel advisor can conveniently arrange extra hotel nights through AmaWaterways as well.

Our land packages include transfers between your hotel and river cruise ship, portage service and daily breakfast at the hotel. In addition, fascinating guided city tours and excursions are included, so you can:

Europe: Comfortable, layered clothing adaptable to changing weather conditions is always advisable for daytime excursions. For the evening, “Casually elegant” attire is recommended and you may want to pack something a little dressier for the Captain’s night/Farewell Dinner – similar to how one would dress to dine at a 5-star restaurant. Comfortable shoes are recommended for excursions and workout clothing if you plan to take part in any wellness activities, active tours or use the onboard gym. Depending on the time of year, clothing that can be layered is highly recommended.

Környezetbarát Hajótervezés

Folyami hajóflottánkat gondosan úgy alakítottuk ki, hogy környezetbarát elemeket tartalmazzon. Az AmaMagna innovatív, tíz motoros konfigurációval rendelkezik, amely csökkenti az üzemanyag-fogyasztást, továbbá minden kabin erkélyén napelemek kerültek felszerelésre. Emellett a Zambezi Queen vízsugár meghajtású rendszerrel működik, amely védi a Chobe folyó medrét, víztakarékos csapokkal és zuhanyzókkal, biológiailag lebomló mosószerekkel és szappanokkal, valamint ötlépcsős víztisztító berendezéssel van felszerelve.

Környezetbarát Fedélzeti Élmény

Az általános műanyagfelhasználás csökkentése érdekében papír szívószálakat használunk (kérésre), újratölthető üveg vizes palackokat helyezünk el minden kabinban, és újrahasznosítható tetra-pak víztartályokat osztunk ki a flottánk kirándulásai során (ahol elérhető). Csökkentettük a nagy volumenű büfékből eredő felesleges ételpazarlást azzal, hogy európai flottánkon a fedélzeten a la carte ebédeket kínálunk. Személyes audioeszközeinkhez, amelyeket a kirándulások során használunk, büszkén működünk együtt a Quietvox-szal, amely biológiailag lebomló rizspapír tasakokat és újratölthető elemeket alkalmaz. Emellett a poggyászcímkéink és praktikus utazási pénztárcáink újrahasznosított műanyag palack anyagból készülnek, és most már az európai hajóinkon a vendégek kabinjaiba kerülnek, csökkentve ezzel ökológiai lábnyomunkat. Az innovatív myAmaCruise alkalmazásunk és az elektronikus utazási dokumentumok használata jelentősen mérsékelte a papírfelhasználást mind az utazás előtt, mind a fedélzeten.
